Based on the discussion in this thread, here is the official description.
Name: The Great Khanate
Brief Description: About 20 years ago a dynamic leader, claiming to be the heir of Genghis Khan, united several nomadic tribes through marriage and conquest. With the strength of these several tribes, he began to conquer the surrounding area, overrunning farming communities and forcing them to either swear to support him or die. Now he controls a sizeable area with his fear tactics, using the food grown by the conquered farmers to support his nomadic army.
Population: 5,000 tribal members, ~10,000 captive farmers. The tribal members are mostly ethnic Mongolians, while the captive farmers are ethnic Russian and Chinese refugees who fled those countries after the War ravaged their homeland.
Government: Tribal leadership under the Khan. Several tribes that each swear allegiance to him as their Warlord, but otherwise have their own tribal leadership. Each tribe claims an area of captive farmers that supports them. They often have to quell rebellion and resistance among the farming communities.
Technology Level: The Khanate has a fairly low technological society, relying on numbers and speed instead of weaponry. They do make use of a lot of horses, but some of the tribes have developed new means of transportation (see military resources below). Mostly they have limited technology, and live an agrarian/nomadic lifestyle.
Purpose in Invading Minerva: Land, conquest, bloodlust. They've tried raiding Minervan settlements, but have often been repelled by Aegis' forces. They view Minerva as a challenge to their superiority, and lay claim to the territory of Minerva as part of their "Great Khanate." They greatly desire the advanced weaponry and tech Minerva has, as they feel it would allow them to greatly expand and conquer even more than the ancient Genghis Khan did.
Military Resources:
They add armor to these land-yachts, power them with wind and pedaling, and race across the countryside, firing old rifles and throwing makeshift explosives, as well as using bows and other simpler projectile weapons.
What Needs to be Planned:
Who wants to be part of this faction? What resources can you commit to the invasion? How many tribal soldiers, horses, land-yachts, etc? How many have to stay behind to maintain control of your captive farmers, protect them from other factions and prevent them from escaping, etc?
Don't make actual invasion plans here. That will be in a private thread. Mostly, just say you want to be part of this faction and your thoughts on the official description.
