Ok, I think we're just about ready to start playing I'm going to start it off kind of slow so we can all learn how it works together. And since you are all far away from each other and from Minerva physically, it will take a bit of time before you are directly interacting. Each faction may even be going at a slightly different pace for a bit.
I'm going to make a post in each of your private group boards giving you specific instructions and a specific start prompt. Over this next week I'd like you to decide what your strategy/plan/response to that prompt is. By Friday (12pm GMT) you need to write it up and post it as a response to my prompt. Over the weekend I'll write up the results of your actions, and post it as your prompt for the following week.
We'll follow this format for most of the game. Weekly posts with all week (from day I post the results till the following Friday at 12pm GMT) to plan. This first time you will be able to plan for a longer period of time's events, but later in the game (maybe during a battle) you will plan all week maybe for just 1 day, or a couple hours of events.
Some ideas/inspiration on the types of actions you can (and probably should plan):
Sending out scouts to explore routes and Minervan territory.
Sending out diplomats to contact other Factions you want to trade/ally with.
Sending out spies to Minerva or to other Factions (you don't have to play nice, you can fight each other).
Gather your troops and supplies and everything to get ready for your invasion (you have to convince me you aren't going to all starve, etc).
In general, the more details you include in your plans, the better they will turn out for you. Especially if you're trying to convince me that you have something really cool, like fancy vehicles or weapons. I need the details to believe that it works. Also, if you don't tell me what you would do in case you discover an enemy, I then have to guess and decide for you.
Things you should NOT do:
Tell me the results of your actions and plans. You only get to tell me what you want to do and what you do, not the results, not what other people do or how they respond.
Be vague or make assumptions about your plans, or about what I understand about your plans.
Make your official post in a language other than English. If Google Translate makes your plans confusing to me, that will be your fault.
Reply in the official action threads if you are anyone other than the Faction Mod/leader/designate poster for the group.
When appropriate, I am going to use a random number generator/dice rolls to determine outcomes, to make results of things fair. This means sometimes things won't work perfectly the way you want them to. If I do this, I'll share the numbers that resulted in the outcome so you can see why it happened.
If you have specific questions about how the game will work, please reply here. Amberlight, please translate if you can
