It's all a conspiracy! They're watching us! They're watching this forum! BEWARE!!!!
Seriously though, I dunno about conspiracy. I think the politicking we just saw was more along the line of naive appeasement. With a bit of power grab thrown in.

"Gotcha. Well, a slight spoiler, but I am planning for a group in Siberia to be important later in the story, just not during this invasion. And they will have pretty good organization and tech/be Russia's heir. I'll have to get your help for planning it later, cuz right now it's still too spoilery to talk about."There doesn't seem to be anything theoretical about this particular conspiracy. The distance from Siberia to the Arkjut village appears to be as far as Tenzin has traveled since his family was killed. The deathbots may travel faster than a Tibetan child with PTSD, but that still suggests the attack on Aegis was planned in advance. I wonder if Jane could win a fight with SOPCA.

Spoiler alerts, Dan: use them. Unless Konstantin and SOPCA are a red herring to distract us from the real bad guys, of course. But then who is controlling the puppeteer...
