В случае ядерной войны в России выживет менее 1% населения. В окружающих странах процент выживших будет в десятки раз меньше.
Угроза современной цивилизации в том, что для ее разрушения "настоящая" ядерная война и не потребуется. Достаточно выбить несколько ключевых объектов.
In the event of a nuclear war in Russia will survive less than 1% of the population. In the surrounding countries, the percentage of survivors will be ten times less.
Threat to modern civilization that it does not need "real" nuclear war to be destroyed. It's enough to destroy few key objects.

Я предложил авторам такой сценарий: совместная эвакуация ШОС, Шанхайской Организации Сотрудничества. Проблема в том, что если удается сохранить от разрушения кусок нынешнего "карточного домика", он по сравнению с группкой энтузиастов ("Минервой"), оказывается небоскребом, что авторов не устраивает. А если домик разрушать, то... "Минерве" придется жить среди редких триб охотников каменного века №2. |

I wonder if it would be possible to mash this with some American history....cannibalism to gain enemies' strength, or even as a way of disrespecting them.
Also, what if the One-Child policy was revoked and they are just looking for more land to live on/produce food. Plain ol expansion of territory as a motive? Could even be convincing themselves and their people that they are "spreading their superior culture" to Minerva's area? Much like European colonists of 16-19th centuries.
Then, if you wanted to include cannibalism (cos eating people is BAD, but makes for good stories!) what about a lottery in times of famine?

For the American colonists, as well as for the Siberian colonists were powerful countries. In our scenario, we should talk about more refugees than about colonists.

В данной ситуации мне видится логичным союз фракций Китая и России, не как "дружба меж собой", а как "вражда против другого". В этом смысле, не смотря на расстояния имеются общие цели. Другой вопрос, что обмен ресурсами при этом весьма ограничен (к счастью Миневры). Робкие попытки обмена, если таковые бы и предпринимались, пресекались бы рейдерами, если речь о сухопутном пути, по аналогии таким торговым каналом Великим Шелковым путь, а вот с морскими перевозками банально не хватило бы топлива. Хотя объединение интересов на базе ШОС (но с принципа "каждый тянет одеяло на себя"), могло бы существовать, хотя бы для борьбы с рейдерством при доставке ОЧЕНЬ ценных грузов.
Естественно, что подобному блоку нужен какой-то противовес, помимо самой Минервы, но помимо мафии и рейдеров кто им будет? Какая-то из других фракций?
Не забываем ещё о том, что возможно появление группировок контрабандистов, что занималось бы торговлей рядом очень нужных товаров. Они, в силу своего положения и необходимости всем могли бы существовать наиболее безбедно.
