Im interested in what you think of the other factions and what our relations should be.
I personally think that an alliance with china would be profitable for both sides but give us the edge if we played our cards right.

You can certainly reach out to them right now to discuss it. In game, you can take a turn to send a diplomat to them to arrange a treaty sort of thing too

I want to see what my faction-mates think, i think a trade of food/textiles for tech, processed goods or maybe tools to upgrade our factorys would be a good trade for us and would also give us the upper hand since we can cut our food shipments if we need to.

Well, I can see the point in it. If China had agreed to leave them alone territory-wise already, then they would most likely see the benefit in trading. Particularly if Mongols have protein to trade (meat, cheese). Am I right in thinking that Mongolia has some of the more lenient treatment from China at the present? I'm thinking about the way that they have mostly been able to keep their own culture and way of life going.
I think diplomacy will be important, but I'm not sure the Khanate will value it that highly. They strike me as a very independent bunch! Still, trading with neighbours IS important, and I think that they would use those trades as opportunities to make 'agreements'. Hehe
