To quickly answer your question, you don't NEED all the detail on every weapon. As long as it is clear what it is (sniper rifle). Unless you start claiming it can do really cool things (like shoot a million miles, or blow up tanks), then I'll need to see some more facts and articles proving what you're talking about.
