Turn for 05.12.2014.
Research:
Prototype system for automated fuel loading and waste removal is complete. The team is working on a production process for the new fuel and methanol and toluene as byproducts.
Engineers and scientists examined Minervan equipment from the crates. They are now searching for any intact components of the system. Parachutes are being tested by attaching weight to them and dropping from heights.
During the radio negotiations with Minerva a team of radio specialists is conducting an experiment by surrounding the radio by a copper mesh screens with different mesh sizes (for different frequencies) to find a Faraday's Cage to block radio frequencies that Minerva uses. Based on that data the team starts working on a flexible screen and a white noise generator for Minervan radio waves frequencies.
Construction works:
As the base of the cement factory is finished half of the workers and machinery are sent back to their settlements to prepare for winter.
2 teams of workers with one tractor each are sent to the border between rivers Ural and Volga to build covers for vehicles (APCs).
1 team with an excavator is working on expanding the workshop that constructs 115HP engines.
Army:
Border between Ural and Volga: 10 APCs are sent there with 110 14,5 rounds and 1000 7.62 rounds each. APCs position themselves in prepared covers and spend 9% of ammo for adjustment fire.
4 KPV heavy machine guns on tripods with 200 rounds each are sent to the port on Volga to be mounted on Yaroslavets ships in case of attack. 10 troops are sent to operate the guns.
Scout teams between Ural and Volga and north of Volga search for anything suspicious in an area 50km away from our border.
Intelligence:
First infiltration team is ready. Second team is half-done, 2 weeks of training remain. Third team begins it's training.
The most suitable for a role of Minervan spy (based on appearance) prisoner taken by ranger team from the settlement is selected out and isolated. He is then conditioned to aggressively react react to any questions about Minerva: he is constantly questioned about Minerva, which is mixed with harassment and humiliation, until he displays an aggressive response. He is given some rest and the process is repeated with an ever-increasing threshold of the aggression.
Ranger team that was scouting area at Aral sea returns, moving 50-100 km west from known Minervan towns ad looking for any other settlements.
Second ranger team from Southern reconnaissance unit looks for the tracks of Minervan vehicles that arrived in the area no longer than 3 weeks ago. Since there are no asphalt roads nor any bad weather happening the tracks should still be visible.
Scout teams monitoring the raiders are tasked with making a personal dossier for each raider - appearance, clothes, equipment, behavior and attitude and list of tasks. This information is then used to get a picture of their hierarchy.
Teams monitoring the settlements are tasked with gathering as much information as possible about Minervan army vehicles - make a list of types of vehicles in the area and quantity of each type. Detailed descriptions and pictures of them. Detailed reports about any combat involving them, like dealing with a raider attack. Searching for the ammo shells after the combat to be studied by an engineering team back in the capital. Measuring their speed and turn radius. Getting a picture of a typical driving style. Finding their tracks and making a gypsum cast of it.
This information is sent to the capital and a specialist team devises a list of recommendations on how to better combat those vehicles. Mockups of APCs are made and analysed for the visibility areas, gun coverage and vulnerabilities.
A firing range with a moving APC mokup is made for PTRD target practice.
A SpecOps team from Eastern recon unit is involved in devising the recommendations. At the same time it practices at shooting the APC with PTRD.
On eastern border Khannate caravan is escorted 200km away from our border.
Search&rescue operation for the lost stalker team is underway, the command is reviewing their reports.
Sea expedition:
Both sea expeditions should reach their destinations, unload their cargo, load the new goods and head back.
Dredging ship keeps working on improving the sailing lanes.
Shipyard:
Scow construction is underway. When finished the sections of the ship will be sent to the Capital and assembled there. This should be done before the week's end. After that the shipyard will start building barges for sea trade.
Diplomacy:
An embassy is sent to Minerva. It consists of 5 diplomats and a honorguard team. 2 crawlers are used for transportation. The honorguard is made up of military school trainees, each at least 190sm high, in decorated uniforms and armed with AK-74. The embassy follows the route mapped by the recon team that had a container dropped on it's camp. On Minervan territory they openly move to the town for negotiations. If they encounter a Minervan military unit they would follow their instructions regarding the route. Should Minerva strictly deny passage to an armed unit the second crawler with the guard will be sent back home.
Production:
With the materials received from Caucasians a production of 700 14,5x114 armor-piercing rounds is started. Nominal production rate is 240 per week but since it's our first try the output may be lower.
Workshops are producing explosive and incendiory crossbow arrows ordered by Caucasians.
