Turn for 28.11.2014.
Faction population changes:
150 teenagers reached adulthood. 150 babies are born.
Man to woman ratio among the new adults is 50/50.
57 women take care of the children.
30 men to scout teams of training battalion.
20 men to be trained as sailors.
10 men to be trained as radio specialists.
25 men and women to be trained as engineers and industrial workers.
8 men and women are sent to Military Collegium.
First cargo scow is ready. Because it can carry twice as much cargo and is easier to load/unload it's about two times more efficient than "Yaroslavets" we use. It is now used to fare cargo on Ural river, mainly between the port and the shipyard.
Two "Yaroslavets" ships are reassigned from faring cargo on the river to Sea expedition.
Shipyard started construction of the sections of the new scow. They will be moved to the port on Belaya river where the ship will be assembled. It will be used to ferry cargo on rivers Belaya, Kama and Volga.
Dredging ship keeps working on Ural river.
Cargo is bing loaded to the barges of the Sea expedition: the cargo that was mentioned in the previous turn - 200 tons of cargo - building materials and machinery to build trade embassy on Turkmen land, a bit of trading goods and an all-terrain vehicle Turkmens demanded as a fee.
Full list of cargo:
Excavator and tractor with construction equipment, 2 two-wheeled tractors with trailers, winches, welding generators, pneumatic pumps and other construction equipment. All-terrain vehicle with a trailer. All machinery comes with the spare parts for repairs.
All available space on barges is loaded with wood and particleboard - fuel and building materials.
Heavy building materials and equipment are loaded on Yaroslavets ships.
When the ships are loaded with cargo and personnel (drivers, builders, mechanics, trade representatives and radio specialists, 40 men in total) the expedition moves out to the future Fenek-Port on Turkmen shore in Dervish bay.
Also the new Yaroslavets that was reassigned to the expedition is loaded with two teams of specialists: geologists and shooting trainers. Each team has about 4 tons of cargo for their needs, including 2 AK-74 with 6 magazines and 280 rounds.
When the ships of the Sea expedition return to the shipyard all resources will be dedicated to repairing them as quick as possible. All other works on the shipyard will be paused.
The ships with barges start heading out down the river as soon as they are ready, timing their departure in a way that the ships that come out later would catch up at the river mouth.
The task of 5 Yaroslavets and 8 barges is the same as at the last turn - deliver the cargo to Dervish bay on Turkmen shore and begin construction of Fenek-port.
Another Yaroslavets heads to Caucasian port with 10 tons of cargo and personnel for the trade embassy. The goods include 100 crossbow and 20 of each type of special arrows, 1 ton of fur, 1 ton of honey and delicacies and 5 tons of concentrated food. Some candies from Minervan crate are mixed in with the concentrated food with the packing being breached in the process. The breaches are then concealed. The candies are poisoned with the natural poison based on ergot or death cap and packed with a measure to delay it's action - like a capsule that dissolves in stomach acid.
Field works are complete. Militia is mobilized to relieve Training Battalions from border guard duty and allow them to return to training. Fast-response forces are still on border guard duty so some militia members can be diverted to construction work instead of being mobilized.
Cement factory is being built with the use of the machinery previously utilized in field works. All non-mobilized workers are also sent there.
Research: The new fuel is tested in prototype gas generators. Engineers started working on of an automated fuel loading and waste removal system for gas generators. The research team have obtained some curious results of getting methanol and toluene as a byproduct.
Both Minervan containers are delivered to the Capital. They are placed in two separate underground radiowave-shielded vaults. Some of the candies are taken to be sent to Caliphate. The research team is formed of physicists, engineers, radio specialists and professors form engineering school to study the devices - guided descent system and radio transmitter. Radio transmitter from shipyard crate is kept at it's initial location to be used for further negotiations. It is kept in a room away from any noteworthy conversations or radio stations that it can spy on.
The workshop that produces tubes for gas generators and engines is tasked with creating the technological process of making 27mm brass tube that will be used for 14,5x114 ammo shells.
Gunpowder workshop is preparing equipment and materials for making smokeless powder from raw cotton that will be used for arming 14.5x114 rounds.
Ammo workshop is tasked with developing a production process for B-32 machinegun/rifle bullets and percussion caps based on the samples of ammo we still have.
The workshop that makes 115HP engines is working on a plan of expansion - to separate it in two lines - production and assembly, as well as establish 3-shifts schedule.
Southern border:
Recon team that had a crate dropped near it assembles at their base camp and openly leaves Minervan territory, leaving only ranger team behind. Ranger team tracks the tracks of Minervan vehicles to find the base they came from.
All remaining recon forces start following strict stealth protocols: complete radio silence, staying in cover for as much as possible, moving only in thick wet clothes in warm weather to minimize infrared visibility. Their task remains the same - monitor raiders camps and settlements, search for different criminal groups (not raiders - smugglers, thiefs and so on).
The recon team that returned home is sent northwest, to search for the lost stalker expedition. The team is transported by a mechanized unit from fast-responce forces.
The search team consists of 20 scouts, 3 crawlers and 1 APC.
Eastern border:
The caravan's goods are traded for wood, metal, tools, honey and small machinery. In honor of the successful trade a celebration is held. The caravan is presented with our embassy (trainees from our intelligence school) and told that they have the high honor of bringing our ambassadors to their leaders. Their caravan will be escorted by our honorguard first 200 km of the way: scout teams for the first 50km, then rangers the rest of the way.
After the caravan is sent on it's way with an escort SpecOps team moves to the Capital where it starts practicing with PTRD to fight armored targets.
Western border:
Search and rescue team is formed from the recon unit returned from Minerva land and a unit from fast-response forces.
The team is composed of: 40 troops, 1 APC, 2 crawlers. 1 radiostation on APC and 1 carried radio.
Their planned route is the same as for the initial expedition up until the city of Buzuluk. Their primary task is to find the lost expedition. They are instructed to execute maximal caution and keep constant radio contact with the HQ. They are to look for any traces of the expedition, their possible deviation from the planned route, firefights, etc. All findings are to be reported by radio immediately.
If they find that the expedition deviated from it's route they must evaluate the risks and follow the new route if it is acceptable.
The team must remain within the radio range of HQ at all times.
Upon arriving to Buzuluk they are to search the city for the signs of the previous expedition.
If the signs of an expedition moving farther to Samara are found the team splits in 2 groups - 1 team stays in Buzuluk with an APC and uses it's radio as a retranslator for the second team that moves further to Samara but no farther than 70km.
If the initial expedition is found (on any part of the route) teams contact the HQ for further instructions.
By moving stealthily and searching for the expedition, search team will be able to cover about 50km per day, 200km per turn - taking the time needed for it's relocation n our borders into account.
Search team is equipped with hamat suits and geiger counters.
