Ok here are some more details, i cant do much because i have had some trouble with the government wanting some paperwork and that and clearing trees has taken a bit out of me.
For the tribes. We do our show of force and offer to let them keep control of the lands they held that were outside of our rule to the extent of any other tribe(basicly offering them to become a vassel tribe like every other tribe in the khanate) if they join us and present X% of their warriors to the army(this can be split in any way we want eg: they must present all first born sons to the army, or one/two sons per family i lean towards all first born sons as that gives us more options)If we go with first born sons we can add additonal benifits to others wanting to join say we offer land and slaves to any non firstborns that wish to join. That should boost our numbers.
We also want them to supply food to the army but that can come as a form of tax that comes with being part of the khanate.
We also want to send agents to recruit any of the gifted(looking for cunning/adaptive people with a knack for solving problems) slave/lower class to be trained as sappers(now im not talking about just the ones that blow things up im talking vietkong level sappers) of course we will also want tribesman in command of these sappers but this will allow us to form a sapper core without tapping our army too much.
We want to send incentives to the tribes to support the war effort so we should offer a greater share of the spoils to the tribes that supply the most food/warriors to the fight.
